They studied together, built their first software together, and sold their first company together. In June 2023, they launched their growing software group (which they had been building since 2021) under a new name: <a href=\"https:\/\/blinqx.ai\/en\/about-us\">Blinqx<\/a>.    <\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Three years later, \u201ctheir\u201d Blinqx ranks among the top 5 B2B software companies in the Benelux, with more than 700 employees and an ambition that\u2019s becoming less and less of a secret. How do you keep the entrepreneurial culture you started with intact? <\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"#blinqx-lijkt-moeiteloos-door-te-groeien-wat-is-er-in-de-praktijk-moeilijker-dan-het-eruitziet\">Blinqx seems to be growing effortlessly. What, in practice, is more difficult than it looks? <\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"#hoe-ziet-de-sector-er-over-drie-jaar-uit-en-welke-rol-heeft-blinqx-daarin\">What will the industry look like in three years, and what role will Blinqx play in it?<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<h2 id=\"jullie-ondernemen-al-meer-dan-vijftien-jaar-samen-hoe-werkt-dat-eigenlijk\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">You\u2019ve been running your business together for more than fifteen years. How does that actually work? <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ruud: It <\/strong>was never really a conscious choice. We were studying together, saw the same problem, and started building. It was that simple. And it\u2019s always worked well because we each have our own strengths. I\u2019m more of a connector; Ynze builds; Jelke keeps an eye on things. We never agreed on that\u2014it just turned out that way.     <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ynze: <\/strong>In our role as founders, <strong>we <\/strong>don&#8217;t have any strict agreements about who does what. That might sound reckless, but it works because there&#8217;s just trust. Right from the start.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jelke: <\/strong>Compared to three years ago, <strong>we <\/strong>do talk a lot less outside of work about everything that&#8217;s going on at Blinqx.  <\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"in-die-beginjaren-namen-we-met-z&#x2019;n-drie&#xEB;n-elke-beslissing\">In those early years, the three of us made every decision together.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">  That hasn&#8217;t been the case for quite some time now. It&#8217;s a logical consequence of the growth. It&#8217;s actually happening very naturally.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"blinqx-staat-inmiddels-in-de-top-5-van-b2b-software-in-de-benelux-wanneer-besefte-jullie-dat-het-zo-snel-was-gegaan\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blinqx is now among the top 5 B2B software companies in the Benelux. When did you realize how quickly things had moved? <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ruud: It <\/strong>doesn\u2019t really sink in until people from outside the industry start pointing it out. You\u2019re just focused on your work. You see the next step, the next acquisition, the next product. But at some point, you do notice: you\u2019re sitting at the table with parties who take you seriously as a key player in the industry, not just as a promising challenger. That feels different.    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But making the top 5 isn&#8217;t the goal. It&#8217;s just a waypoint.   <strong>By 2027, we want to be the leader in how professionals in our\u2014largely regulated\u2014sectors use AI in their core processes.<\/strong>  Not just one of the winners. THE winner. That might sound arrogant, but I believe in it.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jelke: And <\/strong>it\u2019s achievable. We\u2019re the youngest of those top 5, and the fastest-growing. When a market shifts the way it\u2019s doing now with Agentic, that\u2019s exactly where you want to be: big enough to invest, yet agile enough to adapt quickly.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"ai-frontrunner-van-de-benelux-hoe-gaan-jullie-die-ambitie-waarmaken\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Benelux\u2019s AI frontrunner. How do you plan to achieve that goal? <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ruud: We <\/strong>operate in industries where professionals work with sensitive data every day, face strict regulations, and must meet high reliability standards. An insurance advisor, a lawyer, a mortgage advisor\u2014they can\u2019t afford to make mistakes. That makes our market challenging, but the domain expertise we have in-house also makes us hard to replicate. You can\u2019t build in a weekend what we\u2019ve spent years developing\u2014our deep understanding of our users\u2019 core processes.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ynze: What <\/strong>sets us apart is that we don\u2019t just layer AI <em>on top of<\/em> our software. We embed it at the core. <a href=\"https:\/\/blinqx.ai\/en\/ai-first\">Qore<\/a> is our shared AI engine for all Blinqx companies. It\u2019s scalable enough for all the sectors we serve and smart enough to be tailored to each sector. One foundation, multiple applications. That\u2019s what makes our pace possible.    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ruud: And <\/strong>we\u2019re just \u201cgetting things done.\u201d Where are our users already benefiting RIGHT NOW, as we work toward the new way of working? Consider speech-to-text for insurance brokers, where a one-hour risk assessment has been reduced to 15 minutes\u2014with higher quality. Claim assessment from start to finish without manual intervention. KYC document processing for accountants. How do you keep the entrepreneurial culture you started with intact? <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ruud: By <\/strong>giving people space and not being too hard on them when changes happen. We ask a lot of our team. The pace is fast, and things are constantly changing given how quickly we\u2019re growing. But no one here is too proud to roll up their sleeves and help each other move forward.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ynze: <\/strong>That\u2019s also important <strong>when <\/strong>adopting <a href=\"https:\/\/blinqx.ai\/en\/ai-first\">our AI-first approach<\/a>. You have a few \u201cfrontrunners\u201d who get started and bring the rest along with them. Once people start to see tangible results\u2014once they see that an agent is taking over a task they don\u2019t enjoy doing themselves, and they have more time for the parts of their job they enjoy\u2014they\u2019ll want to take it further on their own. Then you don\u2019t have to convince people to change the way they work; they\u2019ll see it for themselves.     <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ruud: People <\/strong>who can\u2019t work with AI will be left behind by those who can. Our goal is precisely to help everyone take that step\u2014not just our tech experts and developers, but everyone. That\u2019s how we keep the entrepreneurial spirit and curiosity alive in everyone.    <\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"blinqx-lijkt-moeiteloos-door-te-groeien-wat-is-er-in-de-praktijk-moeilijker-dan-het-eruitziet\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blinqx seems to be growing effortlessly. What, in practice, is more difficult than it looks? <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ruud: For <\/strong>me, it\u2019s the complexity of managing without losing our entrepreneurial spirit. In a very short time, we\u2019ve brought together many companies, many sectors, and many people. The risk is that you start centralizing to maintain control, and in doing so, you undermine the very thing that makes the companies strong. For me, maintaining that balance means making trade-offs every single day.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jelke: And <\/strong>sometimes we\u2019re just a little too optimistic when it comes to estimating how long things will take. That\u2019s just part of it\u2014that\u2019s entrepreneurship, too. We think, \u201cIt\u2019ll work out.\u201d And it does work out, but not always as easily as we\u2019d assumed, haha.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ruud: <\/strong>We do keep <strong>that <\/strong>in mind to some extent.  <\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"voor-mij-gaat-tempo-altijd-boven-perfectie\">For me, speed always comes before perfection.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">  You don&#8217;t set your plans in stone, because things might be different in three months. I think that&#8217;s a strength of our culture. <\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"hoe-ziet-de-sector-er-over-drie-jaar-uit-en-welke-rol-heeft-blinqx-daarin\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">What will the industry look like in three years, and what role will Blinqx play in it?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ruud: The <\/strong>workplace for business and financial service providers will look fundamentally different in three years. Today, you log in, open a file, gather information from ten tabs, and write a recommendation (with the help of AI). You\u2019re the linchpin. In three years, you\u2019ll log in and the platform will have already done part of the work. Documents will have been processed, relevant changes flagged, and a draft recommendation will be ready. You\u2019ll review and finalize it. By then, Blinqx will be the platform on which business and financial service providers in the Benelux work. Not as software <em>alongside<\/em> their work, but as the workplace itself. We\u2019re building that now, under the name <a href=\"https:\/\/blinqx.ai\/en\/worqx\">WorQX<\/a>.        <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ynze: We <\/strong>see that fragmentation remains the biggest obstacle to our users\u2019 productivity today. An advisor switches between applications hundreds of times a day. What we\u2019re building with <a href=\"https:\/\/blinqx.ai\/en\/worqx\">WorQX<\/a> brings customer contact, case files, and administration together in a single context. Users no longer switch between tools, but between tasks\u2014all within the same work environment. And agents aren\u2019t just a button on the side; they\u2019re integrated into the workflow. A generic AI provider can build a nice interface. But it doesn\u2019t know what a mortgage advisor needs when it really matters. It doesn\u2019t know the decision trees, the compliance logic, or the implicit knowledge of how a risk assessment conversation unfolds. We do. We\u2019ve built that up through years of industry experience. That\u2019s the foundation on which we make a difference.      <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jelke: And <\/strong>in three years, the service provider itself will be happy with this new way of working. Less paperwork, more time for the customer.
